The next ContiSeq is being built in Tapolca!

In October, we started the reconstruction works of the urban wastewater treatment plant in Tapolca on behalf of Colas-Alterra Zrt. within the framework of the KEHOP program. During construction, we maintain the continuous operation, full capacity and efficiency of the existing plant. The previous, fragmented, out-of-date technology is replaced by an uncompromising, new technological block. The new ContiSeq technology under construction will have extremely low energy requirements and will provide a high and stable cleaning efficiency even under variable load conditions. The runoff water passes through an after-filter into the Tapolca stream, which is subject to the strictest regulations. After a new mechanical pre-cleaning, two parallel ContiSeq™ pools carry out the biological cleaning. The entire sludge line is also being rebuilt.

We keep a part of the old technology line with a general backup function. As planned, the transition to the new cleaning line will take place next spring, after which the transformation of the existing, remaining part of the plant will begin. The start of the trial operation is planned for the fall of 2018.
